Ancient Merv – The Abode Of Kings Tour

Day 1: Arrival in Ashgabat

Early arrival in Ashgabat. Pick up at the airport of Ashgabat city. Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation in "Ak Altyn" 4* hotel.

Ashgabat city sightseeing tour, visiting the park and monument of Independence, National museum of history and Ethnography of Turkmenistan. Tour to Ancient Nisa – the residence of the Parthian Kingdom (III century B.C.), and the biggest mosque in Central Asia – the mosque of Spirituality of Turkmenbashy in Kipchak settlement. Return to the hotel. O/N.

Day 2: Ashgabat – Anau – Kahka – Mary (350 km. to the East from Ashgabat)

Drive to Mary city. En route to Mary visiting of the ensemble of “Seyitjemaletdin” mosque (15th century “Beauty house”) and the ancient city Abiverd (14th century).Arrival in Mary. Accommodation in “Margush” 3* hotel. O/N.

Day 3: Mary – Merv – Margush

Mary city sightseeing tour. Transfer to Bairamali (28 km to the east from Mary). Tour to the “Ancient Merv” (Margiana Alexandrine 1st century BC – 18th) visiting monuments – Greater and Lesser Gyz Gala, Ashabs’ Mausoleum, SoltanSanjar Mausoleum, Erk Gala and Muhammed-ibn-Zeid Mausoleum.

Drive to GonurDepe via the Garagum desert to visit the archeological discovery of the ancient country of Margush, which existed 29th century BC. Return to Mary. Overnight at the “Margush” 3* hotel.

Day 4: Mary – Ashgabat

Morning flight to Ashgabat. Arrival. Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation in "AkAltyn" 4* hotel.

Ashgabat city sightseeing tour, visiting of “Gulistan” (so-called Russian bazaar), “Altyn Asyr” shopping center with numerous Turkmen handmade carpet shops, jewelry shops, souvenirs, and many others.

Day 5: Ashgabat – Departure

Transfer to the Ashgabat city airport for International departure. Farewell. End of the tour.
